Last Contest of the Year
I haven't made an entry in a couple of weeks. The new medicine the doctor gave me made me sick and I didn't feel like doing anything.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was very nice. My sister was here even though she still can't eat much. Michael and Rob did most of the cooking, which was nice. I sat on the couch and shouted orders. Dinner ended abruptly when a spider ran up the dining room wall at the end. The boys vacated. My sister killed the spider. My daugter-in-law sat down and talked with my sister and I for the first time, which was nice. Then we ratted out Michael to her. She'd never caught on that he cheated at board games.
The weekend before we had a birthday party with my god-daughter's family. The big excitement was when her adopted sister, Sam's two little ones got into the mouse trap. It was one of those sticky ones. Bad Grandpa had left it down in the playroom. Taisha (5) got both hands in it and JR (2) got one. That stuff doesn't come off. We finally had to wake Grandpa from his nap to find the solvent. We didn't tell Sam. That was the first time she'd let Amber babysit and we didn't think it looked to good.
I'm finally starting my training for my new job teaching online for Axia, the junior college for the University of Phoenix. It has been one thing after the other, so I start my class on Tuesday and it runs until December 24, with no break. I should have been done by now and teaching. Needless to say, I'm going to be very busy this Christmas Season.
