Dollies

Michael and Jessi are expecting Isabella Ruth sometime the beginning of May. Nana, me, found a dolly for Bella. That was not an easy task. They don't seem to make dolls for babies. I gave the kids the doll last Sunday and Michael fell asleep holding it.

I have been behind on everything except my classes. I tripped and fell at Applebee's. Boy, is their floor hard. I bruised my ribs where I landed on my purse. I twisted my arm that was holding my cane. I landed on my knees, then on my face. Broke my fingernail and ripped off half my toenail. Even though it has been nearly two weeks, things still hurt and I am walking slower.

While I was laying on the floor I had an audience and they kept asking if I wanted an ambulance. I really just wanted to not move for a minute while I caught my breath that I had knocked out of myself. I finally sat up and they got me a chair to climb up in. I just stared at it thinking I have to get on my knees, which really hurt, to pull myself up in the chair. I passed. I wiggled to the stairs and managed to lift myself up both of them, then used a server's arm to pull myself to a standing position. Then Kathy, my ex-boss, and I went and ate lunch. They gave us extra ice cream.

I then went home and did not go anywhere for a week. Man, did everything hurt. I do not recommend hitting the floor. At least my face did not bruise where I hit it on the stair.

I am on a cleaning out kick. We collect so much junk and with Bella coming, I figure if I start now, I will have everything dangerous taken care of by the time she can crawl.

We are celebrating Tom's and Michael's birthday this Saturday.

Chewbaca has been pretty quiet. I think he is getting bored with me staying home with him all day, though he did meet at the door Monday after I had been out. His newest trick is throwing his ball in the bottom door shelf of the refrigerator when I am getting things out.

He seems to be adapting to being an only child, though I think at times he misses Teddi. Sometime this month he will no longer be an only child. We are planning on getting two kittens. We'll see how that goes.
